Does anyone else get nostalgic when they hear a sax solo?

Here are some playlists to corroborate the comic:

Note: These playlists are no where near definitive and in some cases, particularly with the flute pieces, the line between a solo and prominent background support blur into each other so I made an estimation that also improved the playlist as a whole.

*I originally only had a few songs on this list until I showed the comic to my Dad and we had a heated discussion about how many songs actually had flutes in them.  He won easily because he had the life experience and internet sources on his side, so this playlist accumulated tracks because of him even though the flute has not enjoyed nearly as much success as the saxophone.  The discussion also gave me a whole set of tunes to listen to, which is one of the best experiences [though it does suck to become a fan of musicians who no longer go on tour…trade offs].

Hopefully more modern bands will consider using 'non-traditional' rock instruments in their tracks because such instruments bring something different to the table.  It also means that band/orchestra geeks would have more music to play for their friends, which is something I wished for throughout junior high...because 'Hot Crossed Buns' only amused my friends the first time around.
